Have you ever watched a movie scene where a character breaks their pearl necklace and all of the pearls fall off onto the floor? All very dramatic and impactful. Well, Hollywood lies! (nothing new, right?).

Actual pearl necklaces separate the pearls with knots, so they don't rub against each other and get damaged. But a single pearl falling on the floor doesn't say much to the viewers.

But that made me think, if the knots played as much part in the necklace as the pearls, what would that look like? And the Sailor necklace was the answer.

Made out of river pearls, sterling silver, and cotton thread, this necklace is a reimagined pearl necklace. Adjustable from 40cm to 45cm.
